Calvary Blessings on All as we celebrate the Death of our Lord Jesus Christ. He gave His Life that we may have life and have it more abundantly. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. -2 Corinthians 5:21

Plug In With Pastor Chris: Jesus Wears A Crown of Thorns

No photo description available.

According to three of the Gospels, a woven crown of thorns was placed on the head of Jesus during the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. It was one of the instruments of the Passion, employed by Jesus' captors both to cause him pain and to mock his claim of authority.

People will mock you, cause you pain, belittle you, drag you in the mud but you will turn to Jesus, the Almighty King who rose on the 3 day,the saviour of the universe, the beginning and the end.He will rewrite your story, align your path to the hidden secrets and your lines will fall in pleasant place, reclaim your authority.

Plug In With Pastor Chris: Peter Denies Jesus

No photo description available.

"Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times." And he went out and wept bitterly. Luke 22:54-62

In Luke 22:55, we find Peter warming himself at the fire in the courtyard of Caiaphas, who was trying Jesus - we might call it the enemy's fire. At this point, Peter was worn down, defeated, and weak. He was vulnerable, and the last place he should have been was at a fire surrounded by unbelievers. That is why we need to give a lot of thought as to who we spend the bulk of our time with. We think we are influencing others, but the question is, are they influencing us? We think that we are pulling them up, but the real issue may be that they are pulling us down.

A series of steps led to Peter's denial of Christ. The first was self-confidence, and the second was following at a distance. The third was hanging out with the wrong people.

God knows the beginning and the end of all things and He uses experience like Peter's to redirect our path.

Plug In With Pastor Chris: Pilate Tries Jesus

No photo description available.
I've always been puzzled by Pilate, the Roman governor who gave the order for Jesus to be executed. Didn't he say several times that he thought Jesus was innocent and shouldn't be put to death? Why then did he allow it?

I was reading the word of God this morning and look for the best explanations for the above but after reading different passages,I found a reference from Billy Graham that best explained the questions.

ANSWER: You’re right; Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who handed Jesus over to his soldiers to be crucified, repeatedly said that he didn’t think Jesus was guilty of any crime. After examining Jesus he declared, “I find no basis for a charge against this man” (Luke 23:4).

And yet Pilate eventually gave in to the pressure of those who wanted Jesus killed. Why? The only logical answer is that Pilate was a morally weak person, and instead of standing for the truth, he was only concerned about himself and his future.

Knowing God's plan didn't lessen Jesus's suffering as He was betrayed by His friends, arrested, falsely accused, and beaten. Each events was part of God's established plan.

Sometimes you have to go through those challenges because it's God's way of molding you into a better person.Align your path with His will and you shall come out victorious.amen

No matter how hard people try to disprove or sideline God as the foundation for all truth and life, His eternal power and nature shine forth even more brightly. The very effort to destroy Him merely reminds fallible humans, by their own efforts, that God gets the ultimate glory . . . even in the mental world of mathematics and logic.

Do not take God out of the Faith Equation

FAITH...

What are you believing God for today?

Plug In with Pastor Chris : The Rewards of Faithfulness

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get richfall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.1 Timothy 6:6-11 (NIV)
