About

Living Stone Bible Church officially began services on October 11, 1998, in Maplewood, New Jersey.  The Church was pioneered by Christopher & Kokovi Olugbenga a year after graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa Oklahoma.  Pastor Chris received the call to attend Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa Oklahoma in September of 1986 before migrating to the US.  He finally fulfilled this call in August of 1995, after completing 2-years of ministerial training at Rhema.

The mission of LSBC is Three-fold:
To accurately preach the gospel of Christ to every individual, giving them the opportunity to hear the word of God and make the right decision to be saved.
·         To teach everyone the importance of living a life of faith, Godly works, and living in love towards all men.  LSBC believes that every individual is gifted and talented.  We must use, and our God-given gifts and talents to contribute positively to our society and more importantly to the body of Christ.
(Ephesians 2:For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do

·
LSBC places significant emphasis and importance on education, continuous learning, and challenging her members to maximize their potentials and fulfill their God-given dream(s), vision, and destinies.  This is reflected more often in the nurturing of our Children’s Church and Youth Group members.

Koko Olugbenga has been an enabler of the vision that God gave to Chris.  She is fully engaged in every functioning ministry of LSBC, leading Praise & Worship, Children’s Church, Ladies group, Helps Ministry, and teaches/preaches as her schedule permits.

LSBC also focuses on developing leaders.  Let’s examine two scriptures on which we formed our foundation:
·         1 Peter 2: As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
·         Ephesians 2: 1For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

There is no way one can read these scriptures and conclude that God has not created them to be a leader.  We are all leaders in the making and as such we should strive to live the life of a leader.  Leadership is simply helping those less fortunate within our sphere of influence and helping them to rise.  We emphasize and stress to our congregation not to get comfortable with coming to Church to warm the seats, but that they should find opportunities to lead and contribute to the body of Christ.

Today, Living Stone Bible Church is in Union New Jersey and making a significant positive impact both locally and international.  We teach people everywhere to know God and how to walk in the blessings that Jesus Christ bought and paid for with His own life.  His blood was shed for our sins, His body was bruised for our healings, His life that he sacrificed united us with God and gave us access to the blessings that God pronounced on Abraham
(Galatians 3: 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise).

Therefore, we are joint-heirs with Christ Jesus, we cannot be sick, we cannot be bound, we cannot be broken and we cannot be poor.

Welcome to your Living Stone Bible Church where lives are built on the Word of God.

1 Peter 2:4-5
Verse 4
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—
Verse 5
you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Be blessed and be a blessing, let the Word of God continually dwell in your lives in Jesus' name.

Love you and God bless.

Pastor Chris & Koko Olugbenga
